Identity documents with biometric data

Biometric passports

The implementation package for the new passports includes three phases:

1) Creation of a reliable database of citizen identification data;

2) Integrating data into the new generation passport system via embedded chips;

3) Ensuring the secure use of new documents

Elements of passport security:

The biometric passport speeds up passport control in countries where automated border control equipment is present at border control points.

1) Tamper-proof polycarbonate data page in passport booklet;

2) Stereo laser image - applied on top of the original photo a mini 3D portrait that is easily comparable to the original photo to instantly identify an attempt to change it somehow;

3) A special microchip embedded in the passport page contains a person's personal data: digital photo, surname, first name, patronymic, date of birth, citizenship, passport number and date of issue, as well as biometric data (fingerprints, iris pattern, facial biometrics);
